I’ve been getting a lot of requests from followers to get a heads up on pieces before they reach the store, so here goes ~ sneak peak of the black highboy dresser I finished tonight.
I had a lot of fun distressing this one.

Thanx for following Candy! I love the book too. Painting black has always been a little more challenging for me; I’m so used to using different paints. There are so many ways to do furniture and I love experimenting with different techniques. I’ll pop by and check it out:)

No, this piece was painted in an acrylic latex paint by Sherwin Williams.
When you layer two colors of Cece, do you make the top layer thinner? Also how did you distress the black piece? Sandpaper? Love it!
