The past couple weeks have been crazy busy with furniture sales. Every time we think we’re getting ahead of the game, we get a call from the store notifying us that another large piece has sold.
I actually decided to move my furniture into a smaller space in the store so I can keep up with the demand for custom orders at home. As I walked in, Sue told me two more tables had just sold. She no sooner spoke the words and another gal came into the store and was bummed because as soon as she saw them online, she headed to the store only to discover two sold tags on them.
What’s going on here? Has West Michigan finally caught on to the craze sweeping our nation? I don’t know, but I am truly grateful for all the sales the past couple weeks where I sold…

Shelly, I’m so excited for you! You do an outstanding job! Your pieces are so unique! Congratulations on your success and feature I just saw!
Good job Shelly! Isn’t that the way it always goes, you get busy on custom work for clients & at the same time your booth sells out. What a nice problem to have. Congrats, Dee

Shelly!!!! You need to clone yourself. You make the most gorgeous furniture. I would be buying it too if I lived there, forget trying to figure out how to do that myself! So happy for you!
PS each sale moves you closer to coming to visit cousin Darin and me!
Wow so many great pieces! I’m over on the east side of MI, but I went to GV… so I go over there every once in awhile. I’m gonna have to check out your shop!

I am confused as to why you are a Cece Caldwell retailer if you paint so many beautiful pieces using Annie Sloan paint. Can you tell me the differences you have experienced? Also, have you ever tried Caromal?
I can see why you’re confused reading this post. This was written before i discovered CeCe Caldwell’s Paints. I have since completely stopped using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint due to strict doctors orders because of health issues with their products. Painting with CeCe Caldwell products is also much more of an enjoyable experience for me and the finish is amazing. I had to spend much more time with Annie Sloan’s products to end up with as nice of a finish as I can get with CeCe Caldwell’s Paints, plus I prefer the dimension her paint takes on after it is buffed. i have not used the Caromal but it looks pretty cool! Thank goodness we have lots of choices for everyone.
Great job Shelly!
I loved your ideas of painting furniture and got it very helpful for me. I really loved the Red Console Table and Annie Sloan’s Cow Parsley Dresser.
