I love this time of year ~ sunshine without the humidity, high temps. in the mid 70’s, cool crisp nights and football. I love football! If I could bottle up these perfect autumn days and serve them all year long ~ I would.
Michigan’s landscape is breathtaking when the leaves are changing. I love all the warm, sun-kissed colors on the trees which would make an incredible backdrop for the buffet my sister just finished, except for one thing ~ the leaves haven’t started changing yet.
CeCe Caldwell’s Paint is definitely “Paint Made Easy”. This was only Cathy’s 2nd piece she painted using these paints and I think she knocked it out of the park!
She chose Cinco Bayou Moss which is such a rich color.
It takes on so many different tones during different times of day, but whatever the lighting ~ it’s luxurious!
The sun is setting in this close-up which gives it a golden tone.
Love the detail along the bottom! Seriously, check out those legs!
We scored this buffet at a garage sale while on a family vacation this summer and it was in perfect condition. The embossed metal tag reads:
“Brickwede Brothers, Better Built Furniture in Maretta, Ohio”
It’s a large buffet, slightly longer than the others we’ve painted recently. This one measures in at: 66″ x 21″ x 37″ with solid quality through and through.
These drawer pulls were a match made in heaven!
Seriously, I’m in love! I’d like to take credit for giving her lessons on how to use this paint, but she just picked up a brush and ran with it. What a brat! My sister is a brat!
I love the Virginia Chestnut accents against the Cinco.
This piece is headed to the Shizzle Design booth in Not So Shabby in downtown Zeeland, Michigan. Click here for more details.
Have a GREAT weekend!!

Just beautiful Shelly. I love this color…it might be my favorite…although, I think I say that with every color I open. Great job.

I just love your blog. Your photographs glow. Beautiful!
That piece of furniture is just lovely! The color combinations really flatter the buffet’s lines.
Please tell your sister she should be proud of herself.
It must be in the gene pool. You sisters have some mad painting skills! This looks gorgeous, and makes me want the weather to change here now!
The colors are gorgeous! I love the way your sister highlighted with paint the details of the piece.
Wow, it looks great! She did a beautiful job! Thank you for sharing this at Rustic Restorations Weekend.
Another beauty Shelly, your sister did a great job on the highlights, and the details really show now. Boy it must be in your blood since all of you do such great work on furniture. Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration with Sunday’s Best – you helped make the party a success!
This is an awesome piece! Wow, I agree, a brat, an amazingly talented one, like her sister! Talent runs in the family! This is one gorgeous piece!
Wow, this buffet is just gorgeous! I am trying to get up the courage to paint my cabinets, but I want to achieve a look similiar to this one. My family thinks I am crazy for wanting to paint cherry cabinets.
I found your blog from Funky Junk SN152 and am now a follower.
Thanks for sharing and inspiring me.
