What colors did you use on this set? It is beautiful
Hi Barb, we mixed a little bit of APC’s Heaven’s Light and a splash of Rushmore to Home Plate just to give it a little more warmth.
Shelly, it’s beautiful ~ love the simplicity of the color it really accents the detail!!!
Thanks Laurie!
I need to get to your booth!! and one of your classes!! Love your work, your ideas, the paint colors and the paint. I have just bought some in Wiliamston but haven’t yet used it except to paint some fabric chair covers with the chalk paint and i am loving it. Joan
Thanks Joan, you’re going to LOVE it!! Check out my Facebook page, I’ve added a lot more pictures of the bedroom set now at: https://www.facebook.com/Shizzle.Design.Painted.Furniture
Shelly, this is gorgeous! I love your choice of color! Painting this really brought out the details! Great job!
Thanks Betsy!! I wish I could have gotten better shots of it, but white is so hard to capture.
Was that one of your wet distress pieces. My favorite so far.
Thanks Vicky ~ the bedroom set turned out SO much better than it looks in these pictures too. I wish you could see it in person. I used a combination of wet distressing and sanding on this one because I was working outside and the mouse sander was plugged in ~ lol. It’s best to wet distress though, especially on Mahogany pieces like this that bleed through so bad.
Mahogany can be a pain. Looks great.
Yes it can Vicky!! Thank you!!
Love the way the detail in these pieces is really heightened by painting. Gorgeous.
Thanks Susan!!
