I love the silky smooth feel of this piece.  Seriously can't keep my hands off it.  Sounds weird right?  But it's true.  It's hard for me to walk through a store and NOT touch the furniture.  What can I say? This painted furniture makeover is basic chalk painting in it's simplest...

With Cath battling Cancer and me recovering from surgery, we weren't able to get much work done the past six months.  To compensate, I sold odds and ends of stuff we had in our loft along with a few truck loads of unpainted  furniture, work tables, misc frames... to make ends meet.  My heart is still not in it and the depression has me frozen in a zone I can't seem to escape.  I physically find it hard to move.  I'm pulling away from everyone which I know is not healthy but it's all I can do right now to just be.  I'm not sure my heart will ever be back into my work but I have to get out of this funk and at least try to start painting again.

The fact that I love creating unique finishes on my painted furniture is not a secret.  With so many people in West Michigan painting furniture, I really strive to create pieces that stand out.  I've never really followed the beaten path anyway. One of the things I love American Paint Company is...

I only caught a few shots of this little princess before she left the building. She was already a beauty when I purchased her.  The finish had really yellowed over time and she needed a little boost. Before I base coated the entire piece in American Paint Company's Freedom Road then painted everything,...
